Jessy's Project 365 & randomness

Since my laptop's CD drive is broken and my desktop had its accident, I have to listen to my world music homework by using my old, half-broken cd player plugged into my computer speakers. Haha.

None of my pictures from this night turned out. Alex and I walked over to the UP apartments to hang out with friends. The plan was to go out from there, but we ended up staying in and having a few beers and watching some anime.

This is my birthday present from Val & Nick. This is the only picture with both computers working. We had an, erm, accident with the desktop and it's not working until we buy, well, a lot of new parts.
But it makes my room feel very small now... lol

Happy birthday to me! It was pretty weather in Morganton. This is on my way to a birthday lunch with my dad & stepmother.

Campus was giving us a free screening of "The Assassination of Jesse James (by the Coward Robert Ford)" at 9:30. Meghan came by and Alex watched with me. It was so-so.

My birthday celebrations! Mom got me red velvet cupcakes with sprinkles, we went to the Catawba Valley Brewery and had beer, Marc and Shane brought pizza, Tony drove down to celebrate with us... it was fun.

Flowers on some bush I walked by on the way to Mom's office. It smelled pretty.

The only picture I took this day that didn't feature the rain barrels. Lol.
Someone's bumpersticker had a pirate head and ARG! under it. It made me smile.

Rain barrels. I'm definitely going to upload this series on Flickr, so you can look there for more.

Basically, Rusty went out the night before to put out a rain bucket, mainly just to play around and see how much water he could catch. Well, that turned into me being curious too, remembering where a larger bucket was inside not being used, then realizing there's a gutter where if we took off one of the segments we could fit a huge barrel there and really catch water. And that led to a manhunt with Rusty in the shed for buckets to see how much we could get.
Ultimately, we got two of those big 44-gallon blue trashcans FULL, the ~45-gallon red rectangular trunk AND the white one under the gutter, the white ~10-gallon clear Rubbermaid box, the ~5-gallon metal round barrel and some water in a lot of other things... you do the math. It's a LOT of rainwater. Hooray for rain barrel tests!
